Rivervale Barn is a charming Hampshire wedding venue, full of unique character. With stunning dedicated spaces for each part of your day, a pretty courtyard, tranquil gardens and a honeymoon cottage, it is the perfect location for an enchanting waterside wedding.

Providing impact and grandeur, the Ceremony Barn is entered through beautiful arched oak doors which open to form a dramatic entrance and aisle. The barn boasts huge cathedral-style windows that make maximum use of the natural light and overlook the stunning gardens to create a most romantic setting and backdrop for the exchange of vows. An unusual minstrel’s gallery is located above allowing photographers to capture stunning images from the ceremony and acoustic performers to add a musical dimension to proceedings.

If the weather is on your side, The Spinney is an idyllic outdoor ceremony space that is only a few steps away from the barn but offers a sense of seclusion and intimacy. Accompanied by birdsong and surrounded by Rivervale’s beautiful gardens and atmospheric woodland, The Spinney is the most magical place to say ‘I do’.

Equally impressive is the Dining Barn with its vaulted ceiling, lofty beams, large windows and contemporary touches. The sturdy oak beams are decorated with hundreds of twinkling fairy lights that give a magical feel to the wedding breakfast.

Rivervale Barn boasts mature landscaped gardens which have been lovingly nurtured over many years to an extremely high standard. There is a beautiful lake with sunken patio area, four-tiered waterfall and sweeping lawns, all of which provide endless opportunities for stunning photographs. Beyond the foliage and flowers runs the River Blackwater, which is an idyllic escape for the newlyweds to enjoy a few special moments and pose for romantic pictures.

Brimming with rustic charm is Cornstore Cottage; a romantic bolthole available to the bride and groom for their first night. This delightful cottage dates back over 400 years and has been fully restored with an inglenook fireplace to provide charm and cosy character with the latest contemporary touches.

Cornstone Cottage is located in the corner of Rivervale Barn’s pretty Mediterranean Courtyard. This tranquil and relaxing area hosts fragrant citrus trees and a dramatic copper water feature and is perfect for relaxing and informal drinks receptions and barbecues that go from day to evening as it is romantically lit for added ambience at night.

For your nearest and dearest, Rivervale Barn are introducing Rivervale Lodge, their stunning new guest accommodation available for weddings from January 2025. With nine ensuite rooms, one family bedroom and a breakfast room, Rivervale Lodge offers your closest friends and family the chance to stay onsite with you after the wedding.
