How Artemis venues bring events to life
When it comes to events, one size never fits all. Some need to set the scene for sharing ideas and connection, whilst others need space to switch off, reset and bring people together in a more meaningful way. The beauty of Artemis venues is that they can flex to accommodate all of it, from corporate retreats and seminars to private dining and big milestone moments. Our venues are built around exclusive-use flexibility, thoughtful flow and the freedom to shape an experience that feels completely your own.
Great events are never just about the setting, though. They’re about how everything comes together on the day. Food and drink are crafted to feel personal, memorable, and anything but standard, with flexible menus, thoughtful service, and a team that knows how to make every detail seamless. Behind the scenes, planners, chefs, bar teams and front-of-house colleagues work together to create experiences that feel polished, warm and effortless from start to finish.
Over the past few months, our venues have played host to a wide range of events, each with its own purpose, personality and pace. Here are just three that show the range of what’s possible.
A leadership retreat with purpose at Pelham House
In January, Pelham House welcomed Stonewall, one of the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ charities, for their LGBTQ+ Leadership Programme retreat. The event was a two-night stay centred around learning, connection and authentic leadership.
The retreat brought together aspiring and established LGBTQ+ leaders for talks, workshops and shared discussion. Delegates used a range of rooms across the venue and stayed in the on-site accommodation. Food and drink were provided throughout by the Pelham House chefs, and a variety of dietary requirements and allergies were easily catered for.
To reflect the ethos of the retreat, all toilets were made gender-neutral for the duration of the event. This thoughtful change that helped ensure the space felt inclusive and aligned with the group’s needs. It’s a great example of how a venue can be adapted with care, consideration and attention to detail.

A wellness event full of heart at Sandhole Oak Barn
March brought a very different kind of gathering to Sandhole Oak Barn: a breast cancer awareness event in aid of Heather’s Boobee Charity.
The day was packed with meaningful moments, from inspiring talks and guest speakers to Pilates, breathwork workshops, and cold-water dips. Guests were welcomed with wellness shots on arrival, while the brand Tropic also joined the event, adding to the feel-good atmosphere.
A relaxed buffet lunch kept everyone fuelled throughout the day, with dishes including Greek salad, garlic- and coriander-marinated chicken kebabs, stuffed bell peppers, and fresh fruit. The food went down brilliantly, and helped create the kind of warm, generous experience guests remember long after the day itself.

A polished seminar and networking event at Brookfield Barn
Brookfield Barn played host to Batcheller Monkhouse’s renters’ rights seminar in February, welcoming 85 guests for an early evening event designed to inform, connect and spark conversation.
Set up theatre-style in the barn, the seminar ran from 4 pm to 6.30 pm and included sandwiches, sides and drinks, giving guests time to network before and after the main session.
Professional, polished and well-paced, the event showed how easily our venues can shift from celebratory to corporate while still feeling warm, stylish and memorable.

The freedom to create an event that fits your vision
These three events are just a selection of the many we’ve hosted across the portfolio so far this year. A retreat, a wellness fundraiser and a professional seminar might look completely different on paper, but each one needed a space that could flex around the brief, food and drink that added to the experience, and a team who could bring it all together without fuss.
Whether it’s a strategy retreat, a brand event, a networking evening or a meaningful celebration, the aim is always the same: to create something that feels considered, seamless and memorable for every guest. That balance of flexibility, creativity and care sits right at the heart of the Artemis approach.
